If you are experiencing vaginal dryness that is making you feel uncomfortable or self-conscious, there are options available for restoring natural lubrication. Vaginal dryness is most often caused by hormonal changes that occur as a consequence of pregnancy and menopause.
At Best Self Medical Arts, we have several effective non-surgical treatments for vaginal dryness, including the diVa laser vaginal therapy.
What is diVa Laser Vaginal Therapy?
diVa is a vaginal resurfacing procedure that uses revolutionary hybrid fractional laser technology to treat a variety of feminine issues, including vaginal dryness, vaginal laxity, and urinary incontinence. It is a safe, comfortable treatment that requires no downtime.
How does diVa Laser Vaginal Therapy work?
The hybrid laser emits ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to the same targeted area, making it possible to customize the procedure. The wavelengths resurface the outer layer of the vaginal wall and heat the deeper layer of tissue, stimulating the production of collagen, and increasing vaginal lubrication.
diVa is an automated treatment that uses a sterile, single-use Strengthened Quartz Dilator (SQD), to treat the tissues of the vaginal canal. The DiVa device is inserted into the vaginal canal, and the thermal heat gently ablates and shrinks the vaginal tissue.
The diVa rotates during treatment but is guided and controlled by a High Precision Automation (HPA) system, so the device does not have to be positioned manually. Consequently, the results achieved with diVa are uniform and consistent.
diVa laser therapy is an in-office treatment that takes approximately 3-5 minutes to perform.

Is diVa laser vaginal therapy the right treatment for you
DiVa is an effective treatment for vaginal dryness and other symptoms of vaginal aging. However, it is best to have an in-office consultation with Dr. Greer to determine if diVa is the right treatment for you. Dr. Greer is a board-certified OB-GYN.
Dr. Greer will conduct an evaluation and recommend a customized treatment plan based on your specific goals. There are times when diVa is combined with other treatments for vaginal dryness such as Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), in order to achieve the best results.
BHRT is especially beneficial for women experiencing vaginal dryness due to a decline in estrogen. Estrogen is an important hormone that is produced by the body, but levels diminish with age, resulting in a decrease in vaginal lubrication and other symptoms. BHRT increases estrogen levels in the body.
I have been seeing Dr Geer for a number of years for my gynecology needs. As I am in my mid sixties, it was important for me to have a doctor that clearly understands the changes women go through. She has my hormones in balance, I feel great, energetic sleep better, etc., as well she has treated other issues with great success.
I have recently had her perform the Diva Vaginal Laser Therapy, to enhance my sexual enjoyment and comfort level. She explained the procedure thoroughly and I was very comfortable during all 3 of the treatments. And the best part, it is working! My husband & I have found a new enjoyable intimate life! I highly recommend Dr. Geer. She also has a location in Camarillo, CA.
